Our designs includes structures that provides shade made from wood or metal. De Smit Exclusive Structures (..skep `n skakel na de Smit hier as) will make it for us from wood or metal and  Lewellyn Williams makes pergolas from wood.Shade is essentail to any garden in the Western Cape especially during our summer. A Pergola over a porch next to the house where the sun shines directly on the plants or over a patio in the garden creates a very  sociable element. A roof can not compete with the charms of a creeper!
